Our Techniques
Dr. Ray uses two primary adjustive methods: Palmer and Activator.
Palmer Method is what most people associate with chiropractic. The doctor uses a combination of patient positioning and manual thrust delivered to a specific joint level. There is often a “pop” heard at the time of the adjustment.
Activator Method is an extremely safe and low force chiropractic technique that uses an instrument to make the adjustment. Patients are neither turned nor twisted. The instrument causes less generalized movement, but it uses greater speed and acceleration to equally affect the muscles and joints. There is no “pop” heard with an Activator adjustment.
Dr. Ray is an Advanced Proficiency rated doctor through Activator Methods International. Activator doctors are often sought after for cases where low force adjusting is preferred. Examples of this are for the elderly, infants, women who are pregnant or patients that prefer not to be adjusted manually. For more information on Activator go to www.activator.com.
